Middle Sister (Aliwi) presents an exceptional blend of pristine alpine isolation and rewarding glaciated climbing within Central Oregon’s Three Sisters Wilderness. Unlike its highly traveled neighbor to the south, Middle Sister features classic mountaineering routes, such as the scenic North Ridge and the dramatic Prouty Glacier, that require sound snow travel mechanics, crampon execution, and basic rope team coordination.

Our guided Middle Sister expeditions are a premier training venue for developing alpinists preparing for the West Coast’s massive glaciated stratovolcanoes.
