Climbing the North Face of Shuksan

The North Face

The North Face is touted as the most strenuous of the routes on Mt. Shuksan, due to this, the North Face receives relatively few ascents. The climb starts by a huge descent into the White Salmon Valley, followed by the ever classic North Cascades bushwhack up the other side to gain a camp at the start of the dramatic North Face. The face itself has 40-50 degree snow and ice climbing on it, as well as some great rock climbing. Our descent will be made via the Fisher Chimneys, resulting in a carry over and traverse of one of the North Cascades most iconic mountains!
