Wesley Jones—who also goes by Clint—grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, where his passion for the outdoors began early and led him to earn a BA in Geological Sciences from Indiana University. At 18, he started his guiding career as a raft guide on the Deschutes River, spending ten years honing his skills on whitewater. Seeking new challenges, Clint transitioned into rock and alpine guiding, drawn by the complexity and beauty of mountain environments. He deepened his winter expertise during four seasons as a professional ski patroller at Mt. Bachelor Ski Area, then continued guiding with Big Sky Backcountry Guides, operating in Montana’s Tobacco Root Mountains and the West Yellowstone area. For the past two years, he has worked as a dedicated splitboard guide, combining his technical skills with a passion for snow safety and mountain travel. Now with Timberline Mountain Guides, Clint focuses on education and the joy of sharing climbing and backcountry knowledge with others.
