Elliott started climbing and working in the outdoors in Missoula where he attended the University of Montana, earning a degree in Natural Resource Conservation with a minor in Wilderness Studies. Since then, Elliott has worked a variety of outdoor jobs: ski patrol, wilderness therapy, NOLS field instructing, guiding rock, alpine and ski terrain, and climbing ranger in both National Parks and National Forests. In addition, Elliott is passionate about wilderness medicine. He has been an EMT since 2008, working as an emergency department technician and teaching wilderness medicine courses. In the winter months Elliott also teaches avalanche courses. He calls Bozeman, Montana home.
