Dara is Program Director at Timberline Mountain Guides. Her guiding career began in Vermont’s Green Mountains, where from a young age she sought challenge and adventure in remote spaces. She has spent over a decade working as an outdoor educator, climbing instructor, and river guide throughout the lower 48 states and Alaska.
Dara joined Timberline Mountain Guides in 2023, and accidentally stepped into a management role that has continued to this day. Initially starting in an office role, she quickly adapted her responsibilities to encompass guide support, training, hiring, and outreach. She is particularly invested in elevating non-dominant voices and creating a more diverse and inclusive outdoor industry.
