Climbing on Forbidden Peak in the North Cascades

North Ridge

The quintessential alpine route, the North Ridge of Forbidden offers everything imaginable! A strenuous approach, climbing up and over a col, tough glacier travel and a rock ridge leading to the summit. This seldom climbed route is one of the best that the North Cascades has to offer. Once the climber leaves the confines of Boston Basin and crosses over to the wild side, the experience is unforgettable.

Most people need at least 3 days to complete a route of this magnitude. There are several different strategies that can be discussed with the guide to make sure the best possible steps are taken for success.
