Phil Bowker

Phil was born in Belfast, N. Ireland and started his climbing career on the gritstone crags of the Peak District when he moved to Sheffield, England in 1988. Phil then moved to Chamonix, France where he lived for many years making the Alps his ‘back door’ playground. He has also traveled to Pakistan making the first ascent of Khoz Sar (6,100 meters) and Western China to attempt Kuksulak (7,500 meters). Other climbing destinations include Australia, Mexico, Thailand, and South America.

Phil came to America in 2002 to climb in Yosemite and began working for Timberline Mountain Guides in 2006. During the winter Phil works as a Professional Ski Patroller on Mt. Bachelor and holds an EMT-B certification.
