Broken Top
Nine O'Clock Couloir
(2 days)
Nine O'clock, as it is affectionately known, is a relatively unknown, but classic route, which is best done as a winter or spring climb. After spending our first day approaching our camp near the crater, we’ll rise early the next morning and climb a steep snow couloir to gain the northwest slopes of the mountain. After traversing these slopes, we'll wind our way to the northeast side of peak, climbing yet another steep gully which leads directly to an exposed move to the summit. Views from the summit are spectacular. Broken Top has the best winter access of any of the peaks in the Central Oregon Cascades.
Offered: January-May dates arranged on request.
Cost: $450 for groups of 2 or more.

Northwest Ridge (1 Day)
This is the route we guide in the summer, after all the snow has melted in the crater. We can approach the Northwest Ridge from a variety of trailheads, depending on the snow level. Once on the ridge, steep, strenuous climbing leads up towards the summit. Here, a couple of short steep pitches of easy rock climbing lead to the top. This climb is a good choice for climbers looking for a one day climb with excellent views and a small amount of rock climbing.
Offered: June -October dates arranged on request.
Cost: $275 per person in groups of 2 or more.
